Debbie Montgomery is Lead Academic Advisor at the Lamar Dodd School of Art. She taught English and writing at Emmanuel College and Athens Technical College for many years. Her undergraduate degree is in English and her masters is in Journalism, both from UGA. She has written extensively for several local publications including The Observer, Flagpole, The Banner Herald, and Athens Parent and she still does occasional free-lance writing, editing, and text book critiques.
Montgomery advises undergraduate students at the Lamar Dodd School of Art with Areas of Emphasis in Drawing & Painting, Ceramics, Fabric Design, Jewelry & Metals, Sculpture, and Interdisciplinary Art & Design.
