By keeping intricate records of the process through detailed logs, video, and tool inventories, he documents the labor and time involved in realizing these objects. In this way, he seeks to bridge the gap between object and maker and inspire thought about the role of the handmade in today's society. Bosse has shown his work in numerous galleries across the United States and has received several awards, including the Tom Hollingsworth research grant. He most recently recieved a Strong Schools Grant, enabling him to introduce Jewelry and Metalsmithing to the art curriculum. Bosse is originally from Florence, SC and received his MFA from the University of Georgia and a BA in Art Education from Winthrop University. He currently resides in Columbia, SC, where he teaches at Airport High School as well as the University of South Carolina.
