Elizabeth Thomas is the Education and Outreach Coordinator at Zuckerman Museum of Art at Kennesaw State University where she leads the development and execution of educational visual arts programming connected to curricula across the KSU campus and P-12 schools, as well as independent arts engagement and learning activities for the public at large. Previously a P-12 teacher of visual arts and graphic communications in Georgia and Massachusetts, Elizabeth has successfully managed programs in visual art and graphic design across the arts and culture sector, including P-12 schools, non-profits, museums, and higher education. She was a designer for web and print for close to a decade. Research for her MS in Information Design and Technology at the Georgia Institute of Technology focused on the creation and presentation of learning materials through online modalities. Her thesis project was informed by work done in partnership with the CDC Global Health Museum. Her BFA in Drawing and Painting and certificate in Women’s Studies earned at the University of Georgia continue to inform her feminist and painterly approach to life.
