Amanda Proctor is a ceramic artist and pottery business owner from Dallas, Georgia currently residing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After graduating from Lamar Dodd in 2013 with her BFA in Ceramics, she started her own pottery business in Athens, GA selling her functional pottery throughout the southeast and internationally from her online shop. Amanda hand-carves her pottery with animal and nature motifs and glazes them with bright colors. She specializes in making custom pet portrait mugs for customers who submit photos via her online order form.
Amanda also creates large, abstract sculptures and wall installations. Her abstract style comes from studying the wrinkles of the brain and the texture of a peach pit.
Amanda lived in Athens, Georgia for 10 years working for local business including Jittery Joes Coffee, Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation and Good Dirt Clay Studio, where she was a studio/shift manager and pottery instructor for many years.
