Erin McClenathan is Assistant Professor of Art History at Mercer University, where she teaches courses in the College of Liberal Arts. Her doctoral project (completed in Spring 2018) defines the medium of handheld cinema through dadaist and surrealist periodicals. Related essays appear in the journals InVisible Culture (Spring 2016) and The Space Between (Fall 2018). She has also presented her work on modernism and filmic media as part of conferences convened by the European Network for Avant-Garde and Modernism Studies, the Modernist Studies Association, and the International Society for the Study of Surrealism.
