Callia Alandete

Callia Alandete is an artist based in Athens, Georgia, where she received a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art. She has extensive experience in drawing the human figure from life. Alandete’s paintings elaborate on observational drawings to celebrate presence, patience, and attention. She is the recipient of numerous awards by nomination and, most recently, the Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO) award to support her thesis, A Path Made by Walking. She has exhibited locally at the University of Georgia and the Lyndon House Arts Center
