This position will be responsible for graphic design for museum exhibits in the Hargrett Rare Book & Manuscript Library, which is housed in the Richard B. Russell Special Collections Library building. This will count as experiential learning transcript credit for arts & sciences or education.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
– Designing labels and signage for museum exhibits
– Taking an active role in assisting with the Hargrett Library’s social media, producing graphics to advertise events and exhibits, finding and scanning photos and ephemera, producing Instagram stories, and photographing items as needed
– Creating print and web advertisements for Hargrett Library events and exhibits
This position reports to the Hargrett Library Public Outreach Associate/UGA Athletics History Specialist.
All hours are between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. No evening or weekend hours are available. Up to 12-15 hours available per week. $10/hr
Familiarity with graphic design principles and Adobe Suite desired.
