Join us in celebration of Art Rosenbaum: “Adamham Town,” “The Grey Rabbit Trilogy,” and Other Recent Paintings on display at the Dodd Galleries from July 23 – August 19.

Art Rosenbaum taught studio art at the Lamar Dodd School of Art for some 30 years, retiring as UGA’s first Wheatley Professor in Fine Arts Emeritus. He chaired the Panting/Drawing Area for several years. Previously he taught at The University of Iowa, and has an AB in Art History and MFA in Painting from Columbia, University. He has had a Fulbright in Painting in Paris and a Fulbright Professorship in Germany. He has exhibited widely and has paintings in collections of The Smithsonian National Museum of American Art, The New Orleans Museum of Art, and the Georgia Museum of Art. He has a parallel interest in documenting, performing, and writing about traditional folk music, and has produced many films and recordings drawn from this work. He won a Grammy for Best Documentary Recording, “Art of Field Recording, Vol. I: Fifty Years of Traditional American Music Documented by Art Rosenbaum.”
