New Terrain is an installation that features the work of Dodd MFA candidate Ethan Snow. Through works painstakingly drawn in pen and ink and translated to print through photolithography, Snow explores the ways in which the natural world has dramatically changed since the advent of mass production and digitalization. Consumed with the planned obsolescence of gadgets that seemingly make our lives more streamlined and yet breed overconsumption, Snow asks “What are all these objects giving us and at what cost?” and more forcefully, “ What world are we left with in the wake of these forces?”
