Research Support Faculty Travel Support, Departmental Twice yearly, the Dodd solicits and reviews applications for travel support to conferences, exhibitions, and symposia, both domestic and international. Applicants must fill out a Travel Authority form prior to travel and submit a School of Art Travel Support Request form, a Provost's International Travel Support form if applicable, to April Myers. International Travel Support, Office of Research International travel grants to offset the cost of airfare to international conferences are available from the Office of Research. Ideas for Creative Exploration (ICE) ICE is a catalyst for innovative, interdisciplinary creative projects, advanced research and critical discourse in the arts, and for creative applications of technologies, concepts, and practices found across disciplines. It is a collaborative network of UGA faculty, students, and community members from all disciplines of the visual and performing arts in addition to other disciplines in the humanities and sciences. ICE enables all stages of creative activity, from concept and team formation through production, documentation, and dissemination of research. Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (a2ru) The Dodd is a proud member of the Alliance for Research in the Arts (a2ru), a partnership of over thirty institutions committed to ensuring the greatest possible institutional support for the full spectrum of arts and arts-integrative research, curricula, programs, and creative practice. Willson Center The Willson Center for Humanities and Arts at the University of Georgia promotes research and creativity in the humanities and arts. It supports faculty through research grants, lectures, symposia, publications, visiting scholars, visiting artists, collaborative instruction, public conferences, exhibitions, and performances. It is committed to academic excellence and public impact.
