DESCRIPTION:Amos Eno Gallery is pleased to present&nbsp;Visual Notes from a Provocateur, a début solo exhibition of new works by Hatidza Mulic. An opening reception will be held on Friday, April 26 from 7-9 PM at the gallery’s location at 56 Bogart Street in Brooklyn, NY. The exhibition is on view from April 25 to May 19, 2019.\nVisual Notes from a Provocateur&nbsp;features oil on canvas paintings addressing personal and institutional politics. Hatidza Mulic’s paintings emphasize form and color. The title refers to idea that stating the obvious and experienced can be perceived as provocative. &nbsp; Hatidza Mulic explores the notion of perception versus reality. Works in the exhibition include painted images representing psychological projections often placed onto women, immigrants, refugees and artists.\nHatidža Mulić (Hatidza Mulic) was born in 1976 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She immigrated to the United States in 1995 subsequent to the Bosnian War as a political refugee. With her paintings she often address autobiographically consequential experiences along with xenophobia and bigotry that are ever-present in the 21st century. These works were part of national and international exhibitions in: Dubrovnik, Croatia; Seattle, Washington; Louisville, Kentucky; Indianapolis, Indiana; New York, NY; Atlanta, Georgia; Kumla, Sweden; Ghana, Africa; Orebro, Sweden; Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Colmar, France. She is currently teaching in Drawing and Painting Department at the University of Georgia.\n​\n&nbsp;
