DESCRIPTION:2019 CHALKFEST\nPlease note: Chalkfest has been rescheduled due to inclement weather to April 26, 2019 from 3 PM - 7 PM. \nThe Dodd Ambassadors introduces Lamar Dodd School of Art's first-ever sidewalk chalk competition, Chalkfest! We invite you to come show off your skills and decorate our Art Garden with chalk masterpieces. Not interested in competing? Come anyway for awesome art, food, and music from local vendors.\nAll proceeds go to support the Art Supply Pantry.\nInformation about parking and directions can be found here. Paid parking is available at the Performing Arts Center beginning at 3 PM and free parking is available in the E07 Lot beginning at 4 PM. The E07 Lot is located directly across from the Art Garden.\n\nSidewalk Chalk Competition\nGroups of up to four members will compete for gift baskets of gift cards and goodies graciously donated from Athens businesses and restaurants. Competitors are invited to create a chalk drawing on a concrete square in the Art Garden of the Dodd. Participants will have three hours to work on their square. Squares will then be judged by Lamar Dodd School of Art Staff and prizes will be awarded to the first and second place contestants.\n\nChalk is $5 per bucket, per team\nFeel free to bring your own supplies (tape, brushes, charcoal etc)\nPaint is NOT allowed\nSidewalk "squares" vary in size and will be assigned on a first come first serve basis.\n\nPlease sign up to compete HERE.\n\nLocal Vendors and Food Trucks\nEnjoy food and art from our local vendors. Free and open to the public.\nInterested in becoming a vendor?\n\nSpace for a table can be reserved for $10\nBring your own table or rent a table for an additional $10\n\nPlease sign up for a tabling space HERE.
