Visiting Artist / Scholar Lecture Series

Past and Present Visiting Artist and Scholar Programs

Guerra de la Paz

 ...

Since its inception in 1997, the Visiting Artist and Scholar Lecture series has brought over 50 distinguished guests to the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia. Visiting Artists and Scholars spend three days on campus interacting with students and faculty, the culmination of which is a public lecture on the subject of the artist’s or scholar’s work.

An integral part of undergraduate and graduate education at the Lamar Dodd School of Art, the Visiting Artist and Scholar program is an invaluable resource for both students and faculty, and is responsible for recruiting some of the most recognizable names in art world today.
