To Propose an Exhibition in the Student Exhibition Spaces
FACULTY: Please download this Exhibition Contract, specify spaces and dates requested, print, sign, and give to the gallery director.
STUDENTS: Please download this Exhibition Contract, specify spaces and dates requested, print, sign, and meet with the faculty sponsor of your choice, from your area/discipline. Your faculty sponsor must approve of your exhibition and sign the contract, too. Without faculty support, student exhibition submissions are not valid. Give the completed form to the gallery director.
PLEASE NOTE: All required resources must be indicated on the Exhibition Contract at the time that it is submitted. This includes number of pedestals, temporary walls, or technology/equipment.
Once You've Applied
Check with the on-line Exhibition Schedule on the LDSOA Galleries website to see if your exhibition has been approved. Exhibitions will be accepted in the order that they are submitted.
When You're Ready to Install / De-Install
Keep in mind that the exhibition spaces you reserve are from a Thursday to a Thursday. Installation must begin at noon on the first Thursday of your reservation, and de-installatioin must be complete by the following Thursday at noon - this includes patching holes and painting the walls the gallery approved color: Home Depot Ultra-Hide Flat Latex Interior Wall Paint #GL 1210-0100 White.
Students, you must get final approval from your faculty sponsor regarding the clean up of your exhibition before your contract with the School is fulfilled.

Required For BFA Exhibitions / Suggested for All Exhibitions
BFA Exhibition Groups must work together to identify one person in their group that will be responsible for compiling the following:
Provide the Gallery with the following: The title of your BFA exhibition, a one-paragraph description of the work, the name(s) of the artist(s), the dates exhibiting, plus one digital image at 300 dpi two weeks prior to your opening date. This information will be used in a press release to local arts papers and venues on behalf of the exhibiting artists and the gallery.
ALL exhibitions must have signage identifying the group exhibiting. This may be in the form of vinyl lettering (recommended) or a simple sign printed on paper.
Individual art works must be labeled, and must be consistent throughout the exhibit. A package of standard, clear labels (Avery Label template #8663, downloadable from avery.com) may be purchased from Office Depot in Athens, GA. Otherwise, you may wish to design your own. Please use size 16 font, and a legible typeface - News Gothic and Times New Roman are good examples. Identify the artist, title of the piece, medium and size.
10 copies of your invitation card must be submitted to the gallery director for archiving, one week in advance of your opening date.
