BLAKE BECKHAM is a choreographer, producer, educator and movement artist in Atlanta, where she has worked for the last 15 years. She is the co-founder and director of The Lucky Penny, an award-winning nonprofit that serves as a production outlet for Beckham's choreography and a community platform to support the development of new experimental dance. Beckham runs The Lucky Penny's WORK ROOM studio, home to a residency program for choreographers. Beckham's leadership and artistry have been recognized with the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation SEED grant, the Tanne Foundation Award, Community Impact Award from Emory's Center for Creativity & Arts, Creative Impact Award from Atlanta's Center for Civic Innovation, the Luminary Award presented by ArtsATL, and more. Beckham holds a BA from Emory University and MFA from Ohio State. She has held faculty appointments at Emory and Agnes Scott.
