INTERIOR DESIGN

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
For centuries Italians have been recognized for their distinctive style and aesthetic sensibilities. Students in Italy are con- stantly surrounded by innovative interior environments. Students experience the juxtaposition between the ancient and the modern and will have the opportunity to see how space (two and three dimensionally) can be utilized and organized.

ARID 3340. Furniture Design.
3 hours. 6 hours lab per week Prerequisite: ARID 3120,
Cabinetry and furniture design, including construction methods, drawings, and design presentation.

ARID 4150/6150. Special Topics in Interior Design
1-3 hours. Repeatable for maxi- mum 6 hours credit. Undergraduate prerequisite: ARID 3110, ARID 3310, ARID 3410 and permission of major.
Special topics for advanced students with a formal written and/or graphic presentation of the results. Non-traditional format: Only to be taken by students who have indicated that they can handle directed studies responsibility.

ARID 7900 Interior Design II.
3 hours. 6 hours lab per week. Prerequisite: Permission of major
The designing of special equipment: furniture, built-in equipment, special lighting, and custom design.
